A handheld calculator with built-in AI
Vonk is a scientific calculator with an AI math assistant inside. Type a problem, choose ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or DeepSeek, and the steps appear on the calculator's own colour screen.
An AI math solver you can hold
It starts as an ordinary scientific calculator with the keys you know. Press MODE and 2 for the AI mode, type your question, and you get the answer with the formula, the values filled in and the result. If a step is unclear, ask a follow-up question.
- exact fractions and roots, trigonometry, logarithms, statistics and graphs
- normal calculation works without internet
- the AI mode needs wifi, at home, at school or on your phone's hotspot
- the AI mode is always shown as AI and can be switched off
Choose which AI answers
The free level, Basis, uses DeepSeek. With Premium you choose between ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek, and decide how long the AI thinks and whether it remembers the conversation. Each AI explains in its own way, so you keep the one that suits you.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a calculator with built-in AI?
Yes. Vonk is a scientific calculator with an AI mode built in. You type a question on the calculator and the answer appears on its own colour screen, with the formula, the filled-in values and the result. The AI itself runs on a server and the calculator reaches it over wifi.
Which handheld calculator works with ChatGPT?
On Vonk you choose which AI answers: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or DeepSeek. The free level, Basis, uses DeepSeek; Premium lets you pick any of the four. Vonk is an independent product and not made by OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or DeepSeek.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, for normal calculation: fractions, roots, trigonometry, statistics and graphs all work offline. Only the AI mode needs wifi.
Can I use it at school or in an exam?
That is up to your school. The AI mode is always shown as AI on the screen and can be switched off, but exam and test rules decide whether it is allowed. Use it there only if it is.
